This place is 2 kilometers east of Sooriyanarkoil, can be reached from mayiladuthurai (20km) Via kadiramangalam and also from kumbakonam (18km) via Veppattur.

Here Lord Agnipuriswara blesses as Sukradev. There is no separate idol for Sukra.

The main deity - Sri Agnipuriswarar.
Goddess - Sri Karpagambal.
